Do you love stories? Listening to them? Telling them? We do!
Produced in Seacoast NH, currently mostly online, True Tales Live provides a space for people to tell their first-person experience stories, stories that reflect personal and cultural diversity and help us bridge differences and build understanding and respect for each other. It is also a space to listen to each other’s stories. We believe that storytelling is an exchange between tellers and listeners so we welcome you in either capacity.
Attend a Show
Our 2025 Zoom shows will be: January 28, March 25, May 27, September 30 and November 25. We are also planning for a June In-person Show! Date & Venue TBD. Find out more on our Attend a Show page.
Become a Storyteller
We want to hear your first-person experience stories. A first-person story is one you participated in. Your true tale must be a story, not an essay, editorial, or a series of anecdotes. If you aren’t sure, bring it to a workshop. Your story needs to be 10 minutes or less and tie in to one of our themes. Find out more on our Be A Storyteller page.
Come to a Workshop
Please attend our Zoom workshops to practice telling and receive feedback. Join us on first Tuesdays of most months, 7-8:30pm: January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1, May 6, September 2, October 7 & November 11. Find out more on our TTL Workshops page.
Watch or Listen to Past Shows
Watch us on Portsmouth Public Media TV, Comcast Channel 98 Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 PM and Saturdays at 1 PM and anytime on youtube or as a podcast.
Thank you so much for your support – without storytellers and without an audience, True Tales Live would not be about to begin its 11th year on public media in the Seacoast of New Hampshire.
