We want to hear your first-person experience stories. A first-person story is one you participated in or witnessed. A story someone told you may be true, but it’s not first-person. Your true tale must be a story, not an essay, editorial, motivational speech, TED talk, or a series of anecdotes. If you aren’t sure, bring it to a workshop. Your story needs to be 10 minutes or less and should tie in to one of our themes.
Every year we create a set of themes to develop and trigger story ideas. They’re listed below. Themes give each show a focus. The idea is not to limit stories, but to offer a broad category into which a story might fit. If you have an idea for a story but are not sure where it might go, get in touch with us. We’ll help you figure it out.
Free Zoom Storytelling Workshops are held on the first Tuesday of most months from 7 to 8:30 pm.
